Registration for summer 2020 is open!
This program is for English as Second Language (ESL) students who want to improve their English skills. Each week will consist of reading, listening, and conversation activities. The students will have social time every day for practicing English, supervised by their teacher. Once per week they will have a field trip connected to the weekly topic.
- read ESL materials appropriate for their level, around the weekly topic
- connect the material to their personal life (place, time, traditions, values)
- learn new vocabulary
- share their thoughts about the materials and topic
- make new friends
- use their new vocabulary during the weekly field trip
Immersion method: use of English language only
Ages: 13-18 years old
Maximum 10 students per group
Cost: $385 per week, per student
10% discount for additional weeks
Plus 10% family discount
Monday to Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Week1: July 6 – 10
Week 2: July 13 – 17
Week 3: July 20 – 24
Week 4: July 27 – 31

Lunch: bring your own lunch (microwave and refridgerator available)
On field trip day bring cash to buy lunch, or bring packed lunch
On field trip day bring a water bottle, hat, wallet and remember to wear sunscreen

Theme: American Food & Culture
Friday field trip: blueberry picking and picnic at Larsen Lake Blueberry Farm in Bellevue
Potluck day lunch (bring a dish to share) – day to be confirmed
Week 3: July 20-24
Theme: Sport & Fitness
Friday field trip: sport stadium tour in Seattle
Week 4: July 27-31
Friday field trip: Microsoft Visitor Center in Redmond
